Bob Mammarella has over 25 years of technical experience and accomplishments in a broad range of technologies including chemistry, material science, thin films, coatings, and surfaces. His experience on the business axis runs the full range from technology and intellectual property analysis to benchtop R&D; through pilot scale up and new business development; and to technical support of manufacturing, continuous improvement, and manufacturing quality systems.
Most recently, as Chief Scientist at Hoowaki LLC, Bob was co-inventor of a patented process to produce microstructured metal tools and supervised a laboratory responsible for fabricating and evaluating materials with microstructured surfaces. Prior to that, Bob was a senior research scientist at Fujifilm , leading the development of coated fuel cell components based on scalable manufacturing processes. He was also responsible for technology and intellectual property analysis for projects at Fuji’s North American manufacturing and R&D site.
Bob received a Ph.D. from MIT in organometallic chemistry, an MBA from Bentley College, and a BS in chemistry from the University of Delaware.
